I've wanted to get a good backup generator for some time now. Natural Gas is the way to go. Natural Gas stores well, unlike gasoline. Sadly it is not in the budget for now. Perhaps next year.

America has no shortage of natural gas. It's even a renewable resource because of all the natural gasbags we have in this country.

Gas prices continue to rise because the West is messing with the Middle East especially Iran. In the end the middle class and poor people suffer not the rich people

I installed the Generac 8KW (7 NG) 2 years ago as emergency backup auto-transfer power.
First run was for ~8 hours starting at 4 AM with -22 C temp.
So far, has run 5 times for emergencies - self-tests weekly for ~ 8 minutes (start, idle, stop cycle).
I LUB my Generac.

isnt propane a byproduct of refining oil. which means its not limitless.

if you two had a combined iq over 10 you'd realize this is about natural gas and not gasoline.
and natural gas prices have GONE DOWN.
$4.75/mcf at the start of the year to the current value of $3.09/mcf.
