While it was an exceedingly stupid thing to say, it is the absolute truth and it is done by every single candidate who runs for the Presidency.
Maybe people get upset when forced to give up their self-induced fantasy view of the world.

'Mitch-a-Sketch' is kinda funny.
Plus, pretending to be something you are not is the primary criticism of Romney at this point in the campaign. So the admission strikes a chord more than it would for other candidates.

An advisor for Romney basically said that once they win the nomination they'll shake the etch-a-sketch on his positions and start over for the general election. Kinda feeds the soulless, valueless, lying, total hypocritical douchebag image he has.

As far as I'm concerned, if a leader never changes his or her stance due to ideology, they aren't leading. For the most part, when new information is made available, a leader should ALWAYS re-evaluate their position. Always.
Hell, we use that very process in our court system.

Saying whatever you think your audience at that moment wants to hear in order to win an election (whether you believe it or not) is not leadership.
RMoney is a joke. McCain (minus that dullard Palin) would have been a better option in 2012.
