I don't have a big problem with the product being available,but I have a huge problem with them selling it as ordinary unadulterated beef it should be labeled "Chemically treated beef product" or at very least "Beef product" so it can be distinguished from ordinary beef.Looks like them keeping it secret has really backfired on them though a whole lot of places are refusing to sell it now.
And I'm all for keeping school lunches as inexpensive as possible and this is safe food,it doesn't sit right with me but unless its bad for them or they won't eat it I may object emotionally but they aren't doing anything wrong.

If they are going to sell this crap in schools then they must give the parent the option of providing an alternate meal.

They estimate that before this got started it was in more than 70% of the ground beef that we bought.McDonalds,burger king and taco bell all stoped selling it...but that means they were selling it and the pink slime manufacturers claim its still being sold by fast food companies that they wont name.
