I'd say odds of a criminal trial are pretty good, due to all the publicity. But, the incredibly inept police investigation probably means there is virtually no forensic evidence, so, a conviction is unlikely.
Odds of a civil trial are 90%. The HOA could be in big trouble.

It's going to be interesting to say the least. If the state prosecutes him and he gets off then they are required to awards damages, repayment of lost income, court costs, and attorneys fees. Which could be a hefty bill.
Absolutely going to be a civil trial. Trayvon's family is already gearing up for it.
Whether Zimmerman ends up in jail or not, one thing is certain, he is going to be flat broke for a long time. Unless he was somehow smart and had all his net worth in tax sheltered channels since Florida is a homestead state.
But this event and prior ones pretty much shows that he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

I doubt if Zimmerman has much money. It's the HOA that's going to have to pony up. The prosecution is going to point out how their watchman broke all the rules, which caused a completely avoidable and unnecessary death.
