The way hats were traditionally built, the shape of your head was supposed to help shape the curve of the brim.
Many caps are being sold that are either over sized or created in such a way that the brim is designed to stay flat - this is for the thug and thug-wannabe look - and looks absofrigginlutely ricockulous. It looks to me as if those hats are designed to have the brim remain flat for the thug look - which is consistent with most of the people I see wearing such apparel.
I was not aware of this disturbing trend until last year at some point when Tali I think it was, informed me that hats were actually being sold this way... some months after that thread here, I saw a friend's 13 year old kid wearing a hat that was designed to have the brim remain flat - he wanted to look all hard and thug-like.
Apparently Tenkly thinks you look like some sort of redneck truck driver if your hat brim has any curve to it at all, which is of course, the opposite perspective as my own. I think if your hat brim is flat, you look like a thug which makes you a douche, or like you want everyone to think you're a thug, which makes you doubly douchey.
