I think it's time I stepped in and cleaned up this place.

How do I become a Moderator?
Moderators are expected to be Community Leaders, show good knowledge of the games they play, provide helpful information for posters, be respected community members and active on the forums they frequent and show good judgment in their posting habits and replies to other posters. Moderators are chosen by Managers looking at various people, then trying to see whom we think the best people to moderate would be, then selecting people based on some of the above criteria. Moderators, Managers and Administrator's are also Volunteer's who freely give their time.

Post history plays a large role in who we select as a Moderator. So somebody who is spamming or flaming all the time, or perhaps never even posts on the forum they wish to Moderate, may not be considered for a position. How an individual fills out the Moderator Application Form also has a large impact.

To apply to become a Moderator, please fill out this Application Form. Somebody will contact you down the road if we feel we could use you.

I will require vaginal ultrasounds from all our Virginians before their abortion-like posts are seen by the masses. I will send our horribad Arizona posters straight to Sheriff's Joe's tent jail in pink underwear where they belong.

I will rip the heart straight out of the chests of horrible posts if elected mod.

I remember Garth before he became a moderator! If that rule was really true, he would have never gotten the job!

Also, the rule about never posting on a forum you moderate doesn't make any sense at all. Usually when you promote someone to "manager" doing it from within rarely works because everyone else has already worked with the guy as an equal. The promoted "manager" brings with him favoritism and bias towards certain people. Usually it works better to bring someone in from the outside to manage that has no preconceived bias towards a group. The group also usually takes those people a bit more seriously than a former friend and colleague given a higher position.

HTH.

Dear Powers that be: regarding Assmale's moderator candidacy

He has been a flaming flamer since the invention of fire. He has helped take the Camelot Outpost to hell in a handbasket.

Assmale has ran multiple illegal sporting rackets on various college and professional high profile events.
Including betting on the demise and premature deaths of various celebrities and scoundrels.

He also shared with us his horrible experiences with his Dumblewhore chronicles, and also the time he accidentally set his testicles on fire.

In summation, I fully support his bid for supreme Moderator status.

God speed Jackie!

My first order of business upon assuming command is to out all rerolls. I have no idea wtf this isn't already happening. There is no law against it that I am aware of and I can't find anything in the TOS that protects people from being outed. Several other boards I've posted on have mods who do this regularly.
