Life is better here on sunny days. The rain makes you appreciate the sun more just like darkness makes you appreciate the light

My sister really doesn't like it up there because of all the rain and snow, she is hoping to be transferred someplace warm, she applied for a position with BLM at the Mojave National Preserve so we will see.

I really do like the sun but some places its just too damn hot which to me is worse. I lived in Eastern Washington for a while and I missed the mountains and the mild weather we experience here on the Western side of the state.

She works for the NPS and is at Mt Rainier now, half the years she works at the Paradise Visitors Center
and when that is closed down for the winter she is at the Longmire Museum
I don't see what she has to complain about.

I love the rain. I hate the heat personally. It gets 90-114 here during the summer its all dry heat. I hate when I sweat and I'm not doing anything. I keep my air on 24/7 throughout the year, 68-71 is where i like it. The rain is cool though and its relaxing.
Then again isn't seattle like the #1 suicide city in the nation? Least thats what I heard. It rains there all the time.

Its not the rain that causes the suicide. Its all the cloudy grey days in which there is no sun. Tons of S.A.D. here

I was in Seattle for 4 days last summer, and it was sunny the entire time. Very lucky. It was beautiful when I hiked Mt. Si, even if I was in pain for several days after that. I like that place.
