I saw something very similar when we were at the grenade range back in '88. I happen to be in the observation deck to watch the grenades detonate, and some punk kid from another platoon tried to throw it side arm...hahaha
the Drill Instructor punched him in the gut to double him over to easily pick him up and throw him over the wall.

Yep, usually if the DI has to make a move to save your ass, they do it in the most painstakingly way possible, cuase you just endanged thier life as well.
