Yeah a love of money is an issue with a lot of them.
At the core their belief is that they know how better to spend their money than the government does.
Considering our government is $15000000000000 in debt... I'd say that it's an accurate statement.

How can you be for social freedom and against fiscal freedom or vice versa? They're duals.

The only one you got right is that they have asked for laws preventing gay marriage. It is the current interpretation of the constitution that prevents prayers in school and the teaching of creationism. They want these interpretations overturned - less government, not more.
