I'm going to let someone else commish the IDP league next year. Each year I think it's gotten better but I think its time I just sit back and let someone else take all the criticism for a change. Doesn't matter what you do, people will bitch and moan. Especially if they are stupid and focus on the offensive side of the ball and expect to dominated and then get owned.

I wouldnt get down on yourself, other than some clerical/managerial type tweaks, (and that's really all that waiver lock date, cant cut list, etc type things are), it was a really good IDP league. The scoring was solid, and the spread of position forced everyone to use all caibers of defensive players. One of the biggest mistakes i have seen in other leagues in years past is allowing people to start too many LB's, and they would rarely start anything else. The spread of positions is what works well at keeping rosters a little more shallow, FA a bit deeper, and matchups closer/more volatile.
As far as finishing week 16 vs 17, i play in both types of leagues, each version has its benefits, and this year there were VERY few players to sit week 17 compared to apst years.
the real obstacle for next year is to get people to not draft offensive players so damn early.
