Can't remember where, but I remember seeing this a while ago. 
KEY POINTS:
What Tipsy said is true...sharp knife + non-stick stuff =
The bacon will be soft and chewy in the middle and crispy on the ends. If you have a dislike for the soft stuff, don't bother making this as you'll be picking it apart to enjoy it instead of diving into it as you should be doing. Waste of time.
That said....MMMMMMMMMMMMMM BACON...
