I need something to dump ashes into from our boiler, so something large like a oil drum would be perfect. Not sure if a metal garbage can would be sturdy enough to dump a lot of hot ashes into.

a metal bucket or trash can then find a spot in the yard to dump the ashes.

Probably dump the ashes in the woods once they cool.

find you a couple metal 5 gallon buckets for ease of carrying.

fill up a 50 gallon drum or even a metal trash can and you will need a dolly to move it.

ashes are heavy, its basically dirt.

I can just haul it with the tractor. I need something way bigger than a 5 gallon bucket.
