I went with the Nook Tablet. I like the processor speed, the on board storage, the expandable memory, and that it operates on the Android platform. As of right now there are issues with rooting it (BN locking out bootloaders and such). But it works for me right now and if I can root it later cool.

CPU Processor: Dual Core Ti OMAP 4430 @ 1GHz
GPU Processor: POWERVR SGX540
Graphics Rendering: Open GLES1.1, OpenGLES 2.0
RAM: 1GB
Stacked Flash (ROM): 16 GB eMMC
User Store Capacity: 11GB
Removable Memory: 32GB via microSDHC

I'm thinking about getting a tablet, love my Nook color, so their tablet might be an option.

NC was my first tablet. It was awesome. Now I have a galaxy tab 10.1 and its great too.

Just ordered the SD card to make my Nook Color run on the Gingerbread OS so we'll see. I already love my NC so this will just be a bonus me thinks.

Am looking forward to it. Got the 16Gb chip so that I would have room for movies as well. Have several Disney flix that have the digital copy but can't play them on it til I do the upgrade. Figured I would just go that route rather than try to root it myself, was only an extra $10 on top of the price of the SD card and warranty remains intact.

It is not an easy root IMO. I got through it but not without some angst. You made a good call.
