ah screw it!! instead of sourcing my own entry door, i went to the local hardware store

and order one, for a custom door. Sourcing my own should save me like some money, but since this weekend I gave up  .

Instead of finding a source(manufacturer) for my own(one for my own home?) entry/front door, I went to the local hardware store, to order acustome one.
Finding one on my own would have saved me some money, but since it is the weekend(?) screw it.

thats how it appears, but on the flipside, F_D in his never-ending efforts to not sound stupid could have been attempting to say that he wanted to MAKE his own door, but failed and opted to just truck his ass down to ACE hardware and buy one with his welfare checks.
