That is when you find something that people DO need that you believe in. Definitely limits your options but at least it would be something you didn't feel guilty about.

if you turned down a job pressing buttons that dropped bombs on people then you're not lazy you just have a sensitive conscious but if you turn down a job standing on the corner putting petitions in people's faces and barraging them with annoying questions like, "do you have three minutes for <insert cause>?" you're lazy! i have dreams, ok? one of my dreams is to walk around unmolested. one of those petitioners actually stood in my way to get into the grocery store the other day and i was perturbed.
