Weather predictions continue to get better, as do climate models. Climate models still suck.
That said, the evidence of global warming has nothing to do with the climate models. Temperatures are going up. CO2 levels are increasing, and it is easily demonstrated that increased CO2 levels increase temperature.
We can't predict hurricanes, but we can predict that the average number of extreme weather events will be more than the average 100 years ago. We don't know which events were caused by global warming, but we do know that there are food shortages because of them.
