Scientists are now saying there are 100 Billion Planets in our Galaxy (The Milky Way) alone.

For reference, there are over 170 billion Galaxies visible to telescopes and probably a hell of a lot more out there that we can not see.


Pretty amazing. I hope at some point in the future, we grow enough intelligence to be able to restructure our societies in ways that would enable us to develop the technologies (if possible) required to get around and visit other planets and eventually discover life.
