Yeah he surprised me on defense too, poked a few Balls away from D.Rose. He's got some quick hands. And if there's one thing D.Rose hates, it's a quick, athletic back court that can poke balls away from him as he tries to break past the double team.

That bulls/wolves game was pretty entertaining. Rubio and Rose put on a show, but it's clear that right now the Bulls are a far more complete team. Rubio destroyed my Wiz with 14 assists the another night, and he turned DC into his own personal "lob city" which is probably why I'm still talking about him.

Wolves have a bright future though, they can build around Rubio and Kevin Love. Unfortunately for you, their future looks brighter than your Wizards That's what teams should do though, they should look more to Europe when the draft comes around, especially for good teams that get high draft picks. Just stockpile talent in Europe and keep them over there for years gaining experience and keeping them off the books. Thats what the Bulls did with Nicola Mirotic, and that kids a beast too. Voted MVP on Real Madrid, only 20 years old, deadly shooter with great efficiency, a good stretch 4 to replace Boozer in 2 or 3 years time. Looking to Europe is a recipe that made the Spurs contenders every year for a long time too.
Rubio on Rose: "He's great," Rubio said. "It's hard to defense him. Maybe he's one of the best, if not the best, player I've ever played against. ... It's hard to guard him. He's the fastest guy I ever played."
Aw Ricky...what a cute accent

Ain't that the truth. Here's a great article about the Wizards 2011-2012 season (which makes me wonder why I keep buying tickets...)

You know what, I'll also throw John Wall onto the list of hard-to-watch players. He runs very fast and finishes a few-jaw dropping drives every game. He makes some astounding defensive plays, too, like when he got caught on a high screen against Calderon in the third quarter. Calderon rose for what looked like a wide-open jumper, only to have Wall recover and fly into the play in time to block Calderon's shot. The rest of the time, however, Wall mostly commits turnovers and badly misses pull-up jumpers. His teammates aren't much help, but I don't believe they deserve as much of the blame as they've been getting for Wall's 34 percent shooting and an efficiency ranking that puts him 178th in the NBA.
...
Yep, Wall has been that bad.

I don't know what the deal is with the Wizards and how they could suck so bad for so long. They tried changing their name from the Bullets. They brought in Michael Jordan. Even Michael Jordan couldn't turn that mess around. It must be depressing as a fan. They haven't been good since the Elvin Hayes/Wes Unseld days. How could they suck for so long? Is the owner a frickin moron or something?

Wall just needs to learn how to shoot, it starts and ends there with him. I can't believe he went through the off season and didn't work on that jumper. Stevie Wonder could see his shooting was abysmal last year.

The new owner is Ted Leonsis, the man who turned the Capitols from a laughingstock to an NHL contender. I'm skeptical he'll improve the Wizards much, but we'll see.

Yeah this is probably the first and last time anybody on ACF will discuss the Wizards (nba team).
Weird game tonight. I def think it's a bad sign that the Wizards can't beat the Bulls playing their 3rd and 4th string PGs.
