U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner’s efforts to tighten economic sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program won backing from Japan after China rejected limiting oil imports from the country.

“We want to take concrete steps to reduce our share in an orderly way as soon as possible,” Finance Minister Jun Azumi said at a joint press conference in Tokyo yesterday with his U.S. counterpart. “The world cannot tolerate nuclear development.”

So China gets its own exclusive gas tank and we pay higher fuel costs.

Nice

They need to do this to more countries, the sooner gas becomes so expensive that no one can buy it the sooner we get a cheaper renewable resource developed.

except no one has the money to develop it anymore.

governments can no longer afford to bankroll all the alternative fuel incentive's.

and it has to be the government or consumers that speak.

right now its neither, due to economic falling out.

plus big oil is still big oil.

So, just buy oil from your enemies till it runs out then move back to burning cattle dung for heating?

The money spent in two years of our war in Iraq would have put a solar powered hot water heating system in every home, condo, and apartment in the USA.

Brazil had a big friggen river and a lot less concern about flooding a huge area and displacing thousands of people. Even Brazil couldn't do that now.

The power of Big Oil has sunset. Now is the time for Little Oil to reign.
