do you keep a radio and batteries in your home?
do you have a weather radio?
have you checked to see if you can get into the cellar of the abandoned house next door?
do you have an emergency kit packed at all times?
flashlight?
...there that should keep you busy until the storm passes 
you now live in an area that has tornadoes...make yourself prepared for this situation
