when you put a stick or two of butter in everything you eat, its bound to catch up to you sooner or later.
Im just glad I stopped it dead in its tracks in my early 30's My dad had type two diabetis and I dont wanna follow the same path he did. Before he died he had two of his big toes amputated just due to the simple fact that he bought new work boots and because he had such little feeling in his feet, they rubbed sores that got infected and eventually went gangren(sp?) so they had to be removed. Ironically enough, he died of brain and lung cancer cause he started smoking again after he and my mom divorced, although the diabetes probably contributed to the quick spread of the cancer due to his weakened immune system and not taking care of himself by watching what he ate and not exercising.
Now my mom on the other hand, she had precancerous cells on her pancreas and spleen which had to be removed. She pretty much went the opposite way. She ate nothing but soy products and vegetables. Since she lived on our family's farm she works out in the yard with plants most of the day so thats how she gets exercise. She lost probably 75+ lbs on top of it all just doing that.

Dude, have you seen 'the shakes' his hands are on old episodes of Molto Mario? Just putting a parsley garnish on one of his dishes was like a 4.5 quake was going on. I dunno if it's neurological or someone's hittin the bottle, but I haven't seen him on recent Iron Chef episodes, and he's practically disappeared from the Food Network.

Very true, but he is the closest person to taking over from Paula... right now there really is no one who will or can take her place since Elton Brown gave up his show.
