If you have a darkside character and you choose a legacy name, does that carry over to any lightside characters you make, as well as to your darkside ones? Its probably a really dumb question, but there you go!

I know that, but you can play both lightside and darkside characters on the same server, so i guess it would carry over regardless of affiliation then?

yes you can
all though you cant mail or communicate cross faction.
now there is a way to get around that.
by using the cross faction gtn.
like with my bh I went and posted a worthless item for 40k credits.
went and logged on my scoundrel and bought the item thus transferring credits.
now I dont know if thats legal or not but I did it.

why can we fly across the universe in a space ship but can't read my email unless i'm standing beside a mail box?
