Dont worry I will give my opinion anyways.
The PvP MMO is NOT a "niche" market, Mythic is just a "niche" company.

I'm no sound expert, but vinyl to MP3 would probably piss vinyl enthusiasts off if anything, the loss of sound quality between the two would be significant. Just by definition, an MP3 is an audio file that's been compressed to the point of sacrificing sound quality.

What you want is something more akin to a vinyl to FLAC converter.

Don't give me any FLAC k!

This is a great cheap way to:

1) Listen to vinyl.
2) Convert old albums if needed.

I remember someone was asking for one here some time back.

Vinyl loses sound quality every time it's listened to

It's not called 'Vinyl" it's called a record or an album. Dang new schoolers.

I, on the other hand, prefer a command-line system 'cause i'm so hardcore

/cast sheild *sheild spell unavailable*
/csat shield *csat: unknown command*

Well regardless, if you have a person who still listens to 'vinyl record albums' , he's probably a person concerned with the best absolute sound quality. Such a person might look down on CD's and MP3's, so if they want to convert their analog sound to a digital file then retaining the maximum possible sound quality would probably be important to them.

Not really, they are old formats anyway, hence less quality. No it is mainly a great way to preserve some albums that are tough to find or at least without having to fund a whole new collection. Vinyl is very fragile so this could be a great way to preserve them.

Plus as I already stated someone here was looking for a "record" player a while back and they are more difficult to find and somewhat expensive when you do. So I was just passing along the deal.

Vinyl is tough as nails, I still have 78 rpm record, tapes erace and cd's do too.

I got a converter which allows me to use by top end turntable.

Vinyls records will be playable long after tapes and cd's are worthless.
