Wonder how he would pan out. I imagine he would have to change his scheme(s) dramatically.

PORTLAND -- University of Oregon football coach Chip Kelly is close to signing a deal with the NFL, a source says.
Kelly is reportedly in the process of finalizing a deal that would make him the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
A source close to the situation told KGW Kelly will make the jump to the NFL if he can come to terms on a contract.
Kelly has been Oregon's head coach for three years, winning the conference title in all three, reaching three straight BCS games. The crowning achievement coming three weeks ago, when the Ducks won their first Rose Bowl game in 95 years.

Not sure why everyone thinks he can't bring something new and successful to the NFL. If the NFL never had innovators it would be the same game it was 60 years ago.

NFL players are too big and fast for his type of game, that's why.

Innovation is one thing. What he does at Oregon would never work in the NFL. Same reasons Michigan's attempt at the spread never worked in the Big Ten.

You realize teams run spread offenses in the NFL right? Gimme a break. I wonder how the Oregon offensive pace will do in the NFL...will be interesting for sure.

yeah like I said I hope it isn't the case. I can see how he would be dumb not to take a jump at mega millions. I just think it is sad because I don't believe we will be able to get a good coach replacement honestly.

Urban Meyer will bring the spread to the big ten, and i'm willing to bet it will work.
