Well college students and internet spam bots take him seriously, but none of them vote, so the rest of the GOP does not.

Id say u were wrong on that sir. Anything that divides the vote is analyzed to death. Polls are taken, educated guesses are made, speaches are tailored... Even the Dems take Ron Paul seriously.
