What's the worst day in internets history for you?

I was thinking about that, and I think hands down for me, in the early days of the internets and AOL, I was chatting off and on with a girl, and filling her head with all kinds of lies about who I was, and somehow it came up that oh yeah sure I'd love to meet you some day, but in reality, I wanted nothing of the sort, she was yuck but I was having fun. So I guess she wanted to meet the secret service agent who rode a Kawasaki Ninja to work, played football in college, and enjoyed long walks on the beach with fat chicks. Even ventured a phone call once. Yikes. Fast forward. I was not diligent when it came to checking my email, but when I finally did, I saw a string of emails that kind of went something like this:

Hey, good news, I'm flying to Pittsburgh for work, and I think I can work out a weekend layover in DC on the way back and come see you!
Oh, hey, great news! It worked out! Got my ticket changed, will be in DC next weekend! Can't wait to see you!
Hey, get back to me soon, let me know where and when we can meet up!
So excited! Flying out to Pittsburgh tomorrow, will be in DC next day!
Hey! Why so quiet? In Pittsburgh right now. Flying to DC tonight. Where are you?
GODDAMNIT! I'm in DC, where the hell are you!??!
YOU MOTHER*$&#(* WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!?!? I AM DRIVING AROUND DC GIVE ME A CALL!!!
FINE YOU BASTARD I AM GOING TO SEE MONUMENTS!! THIS IS BULLSHIZ!!!
DO NOT EVER CONTACT ME AGAIN I NEVER WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I'm reading this flurry of emails, my cell phone rings. Keep in mind, cell phones didn't have caller ID at the time, so there was no way in hell I was going to answer it. I never gave her my cell phone number and I didn't even live anywhere near DC at the time, I lived in Baltimore, but I didn't want to take a chance that it was somehow her calling.
So anyways. That was the worst day in internets history for me.

Back when I played AC I remember my internet connection effed up while I was drop muling to another character... lost ppgsa leggings, a bunch of shards and other stuff... I was pissed at the time. lol @ it now though.
