I've realized I have almost entire seasons of shows that I enjoy stacked up on my tivo. I seldom watch them anywhere near when they air and I NEVER watch live tv or channel surf. Time to cancel my cable package and both tivo subs. That'll be 150ish bucks a month I can put toward something else, heh. Being able to rent/buy/netflix entire seasons makes cable useless to me as I usually end up marathoning them anyway, even when the tivo is collecting them for me.

I have alot of down time, so cable is a must for me. I usually clear out my DVR night by night after getting home from work, but I don't have alot I'm following now a days. Some shows i stuck with for years I just don't watch anymore.

I would totally recommend it Steel, I did the same when I moved to my new place in early Dec. Netflix and hulu covers most things, and MLB.TV is like essential if your team is out of market

This season looks good.

I'd like to have that extra 140 a month in my pocket, but:

I like having the TV on in the background, and it's normally on The Science Channel/Planet Green/Discovery/NatGeo Wild/History Channel/Animal Planet.

Or, a 'Music Choice' channel.

That, and if dad didn't have access to these channels and mainly CNN/CSPAN/MSNBC, he'd go bonkers.

i could do w/o tv entirely, except for these channels. i watch the science channel and natgeo a lot. they filled the void that tech tv left when it got murdered by g4. oh and i'd need e! because i greatly enjoy chelsea lately and after lately.
