I wish they could break it down so that veterans based on age or physical condition received cheaper healthcare than younger ones that are still able to work for a living.

eligibility is based on income for new vets, at least that is how its for me.
When I first got out of the service and went to sign up for VA benefits, they said I made to much money to qualify for free va medical coverage, outside of service related conditions.

I get free coverage now since I am under whatever income guidelines they have.

The mission of the Marine Corps is to be a rapid response force delivered by sea. That is how they are trained and equipped. I am not claiming that Marines are not effective fighters or damn good at their jobs....they are, it's just their mission is redundant and not even possible these days.

Everything they currently do could be covered by the US Army, and at a huge cost savings. Not only in the cost of keeping the Marines trained and equipped, but also in Navy ships required to transport them and their associated manpower and equipment needs.

What is the average enlisted salary in the military?

Previous reports have shown how well-paid Obama's White House staff is, with 457 aides pulling down more than $37 million last year. That's up seven workers and nearly $4 million from the Bush administration's last year. (About 81k average) Source

National average is said to be about $52k but I have seen sources that had it around $41k.

Anyway, this might a good thing if it drives away more young people from getting sucked into wars of aggression / policing.

China has been getting aggressive in the South China Sea around the Spraytl Islands.
Guess what exists in and around those islands, oil.

Yep, and changes in the nature of warfare and advances in technology have made that mission redundant. We don't even have enough amphibious landing craft to deliver the Marines to the littorals anymore and no where near enough helicopter landing craft to make a difference in that shortage.

Advances in air supply and reinforcements as well as paratroop delivery make getting troops to any area in the world faster by air than by sea....and training and equipping 200K troops for a mission they will almost certainly never be called upon to fulfill is a huge, wasteful expense.

I disagree as a taxpayer, I feel regardless of age all Vets should be given the same free/cheap exceptional healthcare our worthless congressmen are. *In fact, repeal all money provided for congressmen's healthcare and send it straight to the Vet fund and make congress buy their own!

Dont worry I will give my opinion anyways.
The PvP MMO is NOT a "niche" market, Mythic is just a "niche" company.
