I hate when I see people post stuff on Facebook "I dare you to read this and not pass this along!!" when it's some kind of internet petition that sounds all warm and fuzzy and like it would correct some gross injustices but in reality is based on so much inaccuracy and just blatant idiocy that I'm astonished people believe it.
Today I had another person do a re-post on the whole thing about Congressional retirement and health care and social security and how they don't have to follow the same plans as anyone else and can retire with full salary after one term in service and here's the 28th amendment and we should LET EVERYONE KNOW AND GET THIS PASSED OMG.
What's worse is it was from someone that I thought would not fall for that kind of thing. Ack. So being the helpful soul I am I posted the snopes link as well as all the other links disproving it.
Two minutes later: post gone. LOL
