you are not born with some allergies, they develop, and alergies to shell fish is one of those. I know a lot of people that used to be able to eat crab, shrimp, etc when they were younger, but became allergic to it with age....
speaking of age.... oh, nm, fear the banstick!!! hahaha

no idea.
when i lived in oceana we ate them off the back of trucks, had crab boils, i ate and ate and ate them.
then i started to itch when i would eat one
then i started to break out
then i started to swell up
then it got worse
now i carry an epipen
it also affected my eating fish but i can do that now after many years of eating it a little bit by little bit to get used to it again and not have any problems. i can eat scallops if im really careful.
no idea what made it all start happening. i looove crab
