DMany feel that republicans are handing a victory to Obama due to the weak selection of candidates we will throw against him.

No, that's just the excuse.

The TRUTH is that there is not a single person on the planet who is "sufficiently conservative," has any real experience in government pertinent to the presidency, AND has a spotless track record.

This is because the mutated blasphemy that is modern American "conservatism" simply doesn't work, and anyone who applies it must eventually either be forced to bend it for pragmatic reasons or flat-out fail.

Don't believe me? Well, in 2008, republicans thought their slate was too weak... and pined for Newt Gingrich to jump into the race. Well, he did this time,as well as Rick Perry who was also touted as a "perfect" candidate for the extremes after he started whining about seceding soon after Obama was elected. These were the ones you had your hearts set on, folks, and yet they aren't good enough this time around.

Oh yeah... Fred Thompson in 2008 was the result of similar fretting. KABOOM splat almost on contact.

Imagine if Obama was on record being convicted of this. That would outright disqualify him, if not many other politicians.

Clinton got grilled for saying he "never inhaled" marijuana and Obama got grilled for admitting to casual marijuana (and cocaine iirc) use. Drugs are a trap accusation for a politician.

If Democrats weren't a bunch of communists when it comes to fiscal policy, I could pretty much side with them.

Grilled? By who? Bobby Flay at a throw down?
