Peyton doesn't own the media. They are the ones talking about it. They need drama for ratings and sadly it's the best thing going on ATM.

i dont know about THE best, but it is a big deal.
plus this doctors appointment that cleared him was released in the summer...highly doubt it was planned out for SB week attention but rather it was based on a medical time table.
the sporting world KNEW this week was going to have some info on his status during the lockout.
what if the appointment came and the doc's said so sorry...gonna be a while still?

There are a lot of people talking about the Superbowl... but they have to talk about something else for a little while otherwise they will have nothing to discuss on the 8 hour pregame show.
