i think the last film that i can remember as being interesting enough to want to see it more than once in the theater was the first matrix film and that was more than a decade ago.

This, exactly. It's not easy to find a kids movie in regular non-3D, as well. My 4 year old will NOT sit through more than 20 minutes of a movie while holding giant 3D glasses on her head. I don't blame her, JUST GIVE ME A BORING TWO DIMENSIONAL MOVIE TO MATCH THE PLOT!!

I have a bad feeling just from the trailer that this is gonna be one of those really bad movies that tries to cover up the fact that its a bad movie(plot/story wise) by throwing every single special effect it can at the viewers. Im willing to give it a chance though.
