Disturbing details emerged Monday about a Brooklyn home invasion by four teens, the youngest only 13-years-old, who allegedly tied up a couple, ransacked their home and took turns sexually assaulting the woman.

As one robber went to get cash with stolen ATM cards, the three others repeatedly forced the 22-year-old victim to perform oral sex, threatening to kill her if she refused, prosecutors said.

“The defendants are known members of the Brower gang,” Assistant District Attorney Wilfredo Cotto said in Brooklyn Criminal Court.

Dezhuan Samuels, 18, Derrin Dyson and Christopher Scott, both 17, were ordered held without bail. The 13-year-old boy will be processed in Family Court.

They are charged with burglary and all but Dyson were also hit with sexual abuse counts. All of the defendants confessed, according to court papers.

The bandits are accused with bursting into a Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment last Monday afternoon wearing ski masks and brandishing a gun. They bound the woman and a 24-year-old man and left about an hour later with laptops, cell phones, cash and credit cards, police said.

When their victim, who was tied in a bedroom, refused the sexual demands, “the defendant threatened to shoot her,” Cotto said of the youngest in the crew.

She was then sodomized and fondled numerous times, the criminal complaint charged.

The the OP used it as a character reference. It was a simple statement of "I bet they're said to do what good, upstanding people do" until this happened.

It wasn't an attack on the church. Relax.

So many times it comes back from family/friends that they loved church and school, had many friends, and now, all of a sudden, this happens, and everyone in their circle is SHOCKED!

Not a church attack, just the story that commonly comes from events like this. Sad.

Its the same reason that we have most of the same other kind of effed up things happening. Its because if for no other reason going to church(or anywhere that teaches morals/values) teaches you some kind of morals and ethics to live by. No one has any morals or ethics anymore and thats why we have more people killing their wives and children for no reason, children killing other children and their parents(not to mention rittling their schools with gunfire), and even innocent children being murdered daily in clincs in state sanctioned genocides. The value of a human life has been so denigrated the past 50 years its almost unfathomable.

Im not advocating any religion over the other. If you decide to believe in God then that is between you and your Maker but what I am saying is that churches and other avenues have become so scarce that teach common decency and values(like valuing your fellow man)that we are now reaping the seeds we've sewn. Granted Im not sure thats what the OP was trying to get at with the title of this post but thats just my two cents worth on it.
