Russell Brand could walk away with a cool $20 million from his divorce with Katy Perry, but it looks like the "Firework" singer is in luck! We just learned that Russell doesn't want any of Katy's money.
TMZ posted:
"This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person)."
The lawyers for the Get Him To The Greek actor filed the final papers for divorce on Tuesday, and when the divorce becomes final on June 30th, he won't get any of Katy's money.
When the couple got married they didn't bother to sign a prenup, so that means everything they earned during their 14-month marriage could have been split 50/50.
But Russell is totally happy with what he made, and he doesn't want any of $44 million Katy Perry pulled in during their relationship.
Russ may have made a lot less than she did, but once you got a few million, how much more do you really need?
