could just still have his puppy coat. how old is the dog? you want a coat like that on an adult you will need to get a doggy hair conditioner, and or oils to brush in. a raw egg for them to eat every now and then helps; no more then one a week though. if illness is a concern cook it, although that seems over kill to me.

Natures domain salmon & sweet potato dry food from costco. Bath with mane & tail every week or so. Thats it. And he runs 5 ish miles with me all the time.
Hes a 90 pound muscle these days.

how much does that run? I've been using the Kirkland stuff, but it sure doesn't do much for maggie's coat. It's better than it was when I got her though, she had yeasty skin from the garbage she was being fed before, or washed with... or both.

we've never done anything special for our big dog and he has a soft and shiny coat all the time too.
