different companies will have higher or lower rates depending on who/what/where they're insuring. Geico was cheapest for me for many years, last time I checked and Progressive was cheaper, but it's a crap shoot, just quote everyone every time You do it.
and yes, they let you print it right away, but they don't let you start the insurance until the next calendar day, in case you got in an accident just now and then tried to sign up for insurance to cover it.
