I think I heard something about the next one coming out on x-play the other day... its called something like american nightmare or something... dropping this month or next iirc

It's an xbox live arcade game and it's game play is focused more on action then story, if you want a grindy version of the game pick it up

The full game Alan Wake is very much like heavy rain and I hope more games come out to use this style of presentation the story is pretty hacked up in both games character building, plot etc could be much better these games need a very talented writer and editor to pull off.

Still waiting for a good one these two are maybe 7.5/10 games for me. Not to say I'm disapointed in them just to say I can see the potential for a much much better game.

reminds me of the old point and click adventure games I miss those in the rearview mirror not saying they'd be as good in today's market just that I really enjoyed them in thier time.

I'd say get it for $10 and you'd be pretty happy with it, unless your really bored and need something different to sit back with a nice cup of tea and just absorb and reflect on while interacting with it I had fun on a few playthroughs as I understood more of what was taking place and the nuances of the atmosphere they were creating.

Let's say this it was meant to emulate a steven king movie/book and I think it caught that vibe just right
