Mardi gras is French for Fat Tuesday, referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins on Ash Wednesday;

In England it's Shrove Tuesday. Although we werent a christian family, we had a great time making pancakes together on Pancake Day.
Dangit, now i want some pancakes with sugar and lemon... so not happening!
