I shall be joining the people of your city since I'm due to PCS to Nellis AFB in October.
Any good apartments/condos/etc near or even semi-near the base? I'd like to get a head start into looking for a nice place to live. No higher than $1,200/month. Any and all help would be appreciated. If I select the place you mention, it will be free drinks and strippers for no more than 6 hours along with the company of myself when I get there.
Vegas isn't going to know what hit it.

Gimme a day to look (online) around that area and talk with friends as to where good, decent priced places are, and get back to you. The thing with Vegas is, you may be going through a neighborhood and be all 'Oh this looks nice.' but see it at night, or live there for more than a week and it's a total 180.

I'm over at 215/n Decatur which is about 10-15mins from the base. You'll probably want to stay toward the northwest which is where I'm located. I, unfortunately don't know too much about condos/apartments but from what I have seen, Aliante is a pretty decent area. AK, what say you? I'm about to go to bed so I don't have much to contribute. Hopefully I will when I wake up in a few hours
