I'll buy used for pretty much anything but food, underwear, socks, or personal hygiene products...I like those new.

Pretty much this. I've bought clothes from thrift stores, misc stuff from Good Will, gotten stuff from FreeCycle, heck picked stuff up off the curb. As long as it is something that can be cleaned and doesn't have a skeeve factor like underwear I have no problem with used.
