It is like outdoor vindictus(or maybe an outdoor vindictus dragon nest hybrid as it does have other buttons) meets aion.
Most monster combats for me thusfar is I take as many attacks as I dare, dodge the enemy forward, get one special attack in its back, do my aoe if it has minions, do attacks, and if it telegraphs a move dodge. Now my character is an evasion style character and only level 13 so more things will be opening up with time.
The animations are done quite well.
