I never see that sort of abbreviations

In my work though there's about a gazillion acronyms, and multiple things use the same acronym. I don't even know what half the crap even means anymore

Yes. My friend always abbreviates a bunch of words and I always have to guess what she is trying to say. Smth???

I know another girl who randomly abbreviates words to one initial. "He was playing with the L"

I wouldn't say it annoys me, but it makes me think the sender is stupid, lazy or both.
