the pc doesnt have an optical drive, it has multiple USB ports though.
how do i reformat a machine that doesnt have an optical drive?

I would make a bootable USB copying the XP installation files and use it that way...
And why you using XP?  That's like ancient, lol...

it's an older PC, its going to be a (mostly) non-networked machine for kids... i dont have any extra keys for Windows 7

that's the question i have, how to create a windows xp install bootable executable on a usb key, never did it before (for a fresh install)
