got it yesterday
already tilled up the bare spots in the back yard and reseeded it, I also tilled up a 20'x 45'ish garden plot.
6 hp motor has enough balls to chop through roots and spit rocks out with no issues.
rear till tillers are so much easier to use that a front till.

When I redid my front yard I went down and rented a 13 HP hydraulic tiller. That sucker chopped the hell out of the clay bed I had under my grass/moss and mixed new topsoil right in with it.

So you're going into a new line of work or just like tools that you will use twice a year?

Be sure you take care of it with respect to cleaning and so forth. If you are not very savvy about small engines, have someone who is do a solid cleanup and winterization on it every year. The dust and dirt these things kick up is worse than a lawnmower and they tend to be quite a good bit less robust than your typical lawn/garden mower/tractor with respect to their tolerance for being dirty.
That said, tillers like that are excellent. If you're planning a victory garden, you will use it more than twice a year - you will use it periodically during the fall and late winter (depending on where you live) to compost and so forth, not just for turning over the ground for planting. Also they work very well for preparing landscaping beds, though you can't always get as close to structures (porch, house, etc.) as you'd like but nevertheless... good stuff.

just like the farmers who use their $250,000 combines for 2-3 weeks a year.

my parents have one of those it even has a drag behind ride on seat.
in low gear it will pull a house it seems like
2 things I dont like about the one I bought is the handles flex and it has no neutral for transmission.
but for $502 brand new I cant complain although now I wish I would would have spent the extra $100 for the next model up.

when this one wears out, you can buy a new one and learn what you want/need form having this one.
unless you can return it after one use, and they will let you upgrade on trade in.
