A woman with PCOS I know started a group to exercise and go for walks with other women who have PCOS. That sounds perfectly normal to me, and I'm sure it's a fun time for all involved. No big deal right?
So I imagine a guy with ball cancer starting a group to go on hikes and walks with other guys with ball cancer, and that sounds weird and quite gay.
Maybe we guys are just more uptight about this kind of stuff?

Gay is probably a bad choice of words. I find it to be unmanly, like a guy should be able to handle problems himself and doesn't need to bond with other guys over something like that.
On the other hand, if it was a meetup for guys with blown off limbs, that is very manly.

I think men tend not to form workout groups in general the way that women do. They also tend not to do walking as an exercise, they usually bike or hike or something.
I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it's just not as common.
