Best guess is there is a bug because of the work IGN is doing. When you create a new account on IGN I don't think it's checking to make sure that name is unique to IGN AND VN.

If the name exists here you get assigned a randomly generated name.

I cleared my cache and created a new account on IGN. I then immediately went to vnboards.ign.com and it worked ok.


The first time I had a user name on ign already established and never came to vn until today.

Didn't even notice my username till after I posted.
