I was accepted into a cardiac ultrasound program over the winter and the workload has completely taken over my life. Tomorrow morning I finally start my clinical rotation. I'm still in class two days per week but I'll be spending the other three days, then eventually four days per week at a hospital. I need to complete 1,142 hours of time at the hospital before the end of 2012, then I can take the board exams, become certified, and go practice professionally.

There was a conflict at my original worksite so until June I will be driving to an alternate site that is located on the opposite side of the state. It's a two hour commute each way. But then in June it will be like flipping a switch because my original site will be available and that's only 20 minutes away from my house.

I'm very excited for this to begin!

Jeeeze, the commute does not sound fun

Congrats though on the new adventure. Hope you're able to move closer to the jerb soon or it comes back to your original office

that commute sounds like death...but sometimes a good sacrifice is what it takes to obtain the things you want in life...

btw, i just finished changing a roll here in the steel mill...the furnace was 2150degrees. so take heed in that your enviroment will be soo much better then the mill i work in.
