the reason why she is doing it is because she lives in china. For some reason that boring monotonous task that someone needs to get done is not worth paying someone a decent wage to do it.

Indeed.

Until that woman's wages reach a point that automation would be cheaper, manual will be how it's done.

not all that long ago my ex worked for Motorolla in Phoenix polishing wafers.

all he did was wipe the gunk off them after they were tested.

As a person who works in quality control... it pains me to see the number of possible failures in that process.
