OK so, the 'Prometheus' trailer I posted yesterday wasn't the full true one, this is..

so looking at the shape of the eggs in the trailer, they look different than the ones laid by a queen, sorta manufactured. So maybe the aliens are basically a bioweapon that got free and their creator found that they could procreate on their own.
